Freedom Nguyen is an American food innovator and writer. His blog is driven by his fascination with nationalism, identity, and food. Often pride is attached to cuisines that represent a culture and history, and also new ways of expression. But as people around the world become more and more connected, food inevitably takes on a transnational identity.   Some erect walls and borders, while others absorb and infuse. His writing hopes to challenge the idea of “us” and to defy the notion of “other” within the context of cuisine.
